Biography of Homi Jehangir Bhabha
1909 - Born on the 30th of October in Bombay, India.
Studied at the Elphinstone College and the Royal Institute of Science.
1925 - Homi Jehangir Bhabha passed the Senior Cambridge Examination when Homi Jehangir Bhabha was 16 and went to Cambridge to study mechanical engineering.
1934 - Received hisdoctorate from the University of Cambridge.
1940 - At the behest of C.V. Raman, director of the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, Bhabha joined the institute as a reader in physics.
1941 - Elected a Fellow of the Royal Society on 20th of March.
1945 - Helped with funds from JRD Tata, Homi Jehangir Bhabha established the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in Bombay.
1948 - Established the Atomic Energy Commission of India.1955 - Homi Jehangir Bhabha represented India in International Atomic Energy Forums.
1960-1963 - President of International Union of Pure and Applied Physics
