Welcome to the first blog on this site.

This is a blog devoted to helping you with spoken English

but is also meant to start a conversation between us.

For too long teaching has been presentation..of facts, insights, perspectives/

I would like to turn that into a conversation.

Hence the title Lets talk.

Today I will just give you one formula for improving English.

Its called the Input------------------------------------------------------------Output formula.

You improve and enhance and increase your input hundred times/

And your output is bound to increase!

What this means is that if you read magazines, watch television and converse with friends in English,

a hundred times more than you do today...by next year you will be reasonably fluent.

There are no short cuts...you only learn to speak English by SPEAKING ENGLISH!

So get started today. read aloud. Gossip in English. Tape record yourself.

Volunteer to take part in speech competitions and paper presentations.

Also feel free to ask questions or raise doubts on this blog.

Cheers

Re: Spoken English

to improve spoken english one must have self confidence(it is must). initially if u speak between your colleagues just don't care for them speak up whatever u want bcz it is your beginning & think at least u r one step up yaar ,what u want ,it is all by commencing.

Re: Spoken English

Very nice, Ankit and Jibran.
The thing that strikes me is that everyone wants to learn english so why can't we all get together and create a "mahoul" where everyone speaks english?

Re: Spoken English

Hello mam! Even when it is difficult for interested students and teachers to group-up physically, they can hold Group Discussions on diverse topics using the discussion forums.

The "Higher Studies, Aptitude & Personality development" forum has been created for this very purpose. Just pour in your arguments/points and let others reply... all this without the need to synchronize in time or place!

Re: Spoken English

ma'am its good suggestion that we should all get together, it will really help us to improve our English and it is an international subject and one should be very fluent in it for a successful career.
